Hi, my name is Jinhu Park, and I’m the founder of Imunika.
Growing up, our home was always alive with the earthy scent of brewing exotic herbs and mushrooms, or the distinct aroma of foods quietly fermenting in the background.
My mother, an award-winning fermenter, learned from her own mother, whose pursuit of perfection was matched by none. In short, fermentation runs through our veins.
After graduating from Cornell, I returned to the motherland with a newfound appreciation for our cultural heritage. Exploring the art of fermentation not only reconnected me to my roots but also convinced me that our family had something great to offer to the world.
Then, in 2020, my life was forever changed. I lost my younger brother, Sean, to terminal cancer, just as the pandemic was unfolding. Watching him battle his illness, and seeing so many others lose loved ones during the crisis made me realize how critical immune health truly is.
This devastating loss ignited a deep sense of purpose. My family and I dove into researching the incredible immune-boosting benefits of mushroom beta-glucans.
Combining this knowledge with our fermentation know-hows, we developed a unique approach to deliver these benefits inside your beloved morning ritual—coffee.
And that’s how Imunika was born.
A boutique wellness brand rooted in Korean fermentation heritage.
